| Acapulco is a five-hour drive from Mexico City and way too expensive for many residents. So, city officials are bringing the beach to Mexico City. Five neighborhood “beaches” have been constructed to give city dwellers a chance for a “beach vacation.” Some consider it a waste of money, but others say they need more of them to keep kids playing volleyball and other games rather than dealing with drugs and street crime. |
