| In rural parts of Mexico, small, impoverished farmers still plow their fields with oxen and hand plant papaya seeds. They rely on middlemen, or so-called “coyotes,” to truck their produce to market. But the coyotes often make more off the crop than the farmers. So, the farmers are now developing a website where prices will be posted on a daily basis and a bulletin board -- for the first time -- will connect sellers directly with buyers -- eliminating the middlemen.
