| After a long, drawn-out civil war, thousands of Cambodians have been left disabled due to landmines and untreated diseases. Life for amputees can be lonely, because of social and geographical isolation. For women, with cultural expectations of beauty and modesty, the impact of being disabled is felt even harder. As Megan Williams reports from a tiny village in central Cambodia, with a bit of equipment and support, lives can change. |
