In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Air Force occasionally conducts what are called “targeted assassinations.” They shoot missiles at militants who attack Israel. Sometimes, the intended target isn’t the only one hit. That’s what happened to six-year old Maria Aman almost two-years ago. She’s now paralyzed from the neck down. Maria is being cared for in a Jerusalem hospital, but Israeli officials want to send the family to the West Bank. Friends and advocates say that’s like issuing Maria a death sentence. Daniel Estrin reports from Jerusalem.
