"Kinda Life," performed by the artist 9ice, is at the top of the pop charts in Nigeria this week.
9ice was raised in a polygamous home of five wives and nine children. He managed to make it as far as law school in Lagos, but dropped out to try his luck as a singer. And he had a pretty lucky year last year, performing at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party celebration in London, where he was named "Revelation of the Year" -- or best new artist -- at the Hip Hop World Awards. |
