Mega-cities in developing countries create mountains of trash, often without the regulations common in the developed world. Communities of scavengers congregate around those dump sites, rummaging through the garbage and collecting anything that’s recyclable. Reporter Matthew Power visited one such dump in the Philippines where more than 10,000 people scavenge.
