"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is the most frequently downloaded song on i-tunes, in the "world music" section. It is played on the ukulele by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, known to his fans more simply as "Iz."
This track is from a posthumous release of some of his "unplugged" performances. Iz is best known for his native Hawaiian songs, though as you can hear, he covered many of the old favorites too. |
