Listen in on the sound of a barrier breaking ... or at least cracking. That's the group Accolade, the first all-girl rock band in the strict Muslim nation of Saudi Arabia.
Their first song, Pinoccho, is an underground hit as thousands of young people have downloaded it from the internet.
The girls of Accolade hope that one day they'll be able to perform their song in public. For now, though, they practice in secret, so they don't get into trouble with the Islamic authorities. |
