Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps apologized last week for smoking marijuana at a party. But you won't hear men In Somaliland apologizing for their drug use. The men in that African country chew a green plant called khat almost every day. The plant has an effect similar to that of marijuana.

Chewing khat is part of the culture in Muslim Somaliland, though alcohol and hard drugs are frowned upon. Richard Lough bring us this story from the capital, Hargeisa, as part of our series on Somaliland.
