| There are more than six-thousand homeless people living on the streets of Boston, and for most of the day, they’re on their feet. That can lead to medical problems such as frostbite and infections. Since 1997, a local aid organization has run a “foot room” at a homeless shelter in Boston. It’s a sanctuary for the homeless to go for a foot soak, a medical check-up, and some tender care … that starts at the bottom. Producer Rachel Gotbaum recently visited the foot room. |
