Being the “middle child” anywhere can have its drawbacks. But in Ghana, it means more than having hand-me-down clothing. It can mean no chance for an education and a decent job.
Aid worker David Snyder met a “middle child” working in a bar in Ghana who dreams of some day getting a college education. When he can, this man saves $10 a month to make his dream come true. In the meantime, he says he must “cut his coat to fit the cloth” because he has no other option. |
