| If you want to play on a kid’s soccer team in the Dominican Republic, you may have to answer a lot of questions about HIV/AIDS. Michael Kavanagh reports on “Grassroots Soccer,” an organization formed by professional soccer player Kirk Friedrich to break through social barriers to even discussing AIDS. At soccer practices, players are grilled about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and the conduct that exposes a person to the disease. |
