| In many parts of the world, HIV-AIDS is a taboo subject. But many families in South Africa are now openly facing the issue by building so-called memory boxes. To preserve a family’s history, stories are written, photos collected, and favorite possessions are placed in a small wooden box to give the children of HIV-AIDS patients something to remember them by when they are gone. Richard Loche reports from South Africa. |
