| For centuries Ugandan royalty wore clothing made from tree bark. At one time, most everyone in Uganda wore bark cloth clothing on special occasions. But no longer. Western fashions and the growing second-hand clothing industry mean fewer and fewer people now wear this unusual cloth. Even more rare are the people who make bark cloth clothing. Prue Clarke reports on a 78-year old man who hammers bark into cloth as his family has done for generations |
