You may not realize it, but a lot of the clothing you donate to Goodwill or the Salvation Army winds up in Africa as part of a big business. Some charities are so overwhelmed with donated clothes it sells them off for pennies per pound. They wind up in places like Malawi where used clothing is sold in the public market. That’s hurt the domestic textile business in Malawi. Suzanne Marmion reports.
