The President Of Peace
Listen to the:
In southeasternTurkey, families who fight over insults or debts sometimes end up killing each other. That’s called a “blood feud.” They have been going on for generations. But Sait Sanli works to resolve those feuds. He’ll talk with warring families and clans for months to negotiate a peaceful settlement. He does it because his own family was involved in a blood feud when he was very young and he promised God he would spend his life trying to prevent further bloodshed. That’s why he’s called “the president of peace.” Dorian Jones reports.
