| In America, women think nothing of hopping in the car and driving to the store, to school, work, or across the country. In Saudi Arabia, they can’t even get out of the driveway. For the most part, women are not allowed to drive cars in Saudi Arabia. That’s why a video on YouTube recently created a huge stir. A woman is interviewed while driving a car, challenging Saudi officials to give women the right to drive. This wasn’t the first time women in Saudi Arabia challenged the driving ban. In 1991 a group of women in Riyadh kicked their drivers out of their cars and took over the wheel.
