Johnny Whitehair, Missions Director
Johnny is the Missions Director at World Vision Appalachia. He was born and raised in the Flemington community located in Taylor County, West Virginia. He also serves as Senior Pastor of Mt. Calvary Assembly of God in Morgantown, West Virginia. Johnny lives in Flemington with his wife, Maria, and their two sons, Nathan and Isaac. Click here to contact Johnny.

Kris Wamsley, Mission Coordinator
Kris Wamsley is the Mission Coordinator at World Vision Appalachia. She is responsible for all communications and logistics of the mission trip programs. She is also available to answer any questions you may have regarding your trip. Kris and her husband Mike live in Hendricks, West Virginia. Doug Fisher, Mission Trips and Training Consultant
Doug is the Mission Trips and Training Consultant for the Appalachia Mission Trips. He is responsible for mission leader training and can also answer general questions regarding your trip. Doug and his wife Beth, moved to the Philippi area from Arkansas after Doug's retirement in order to serve with World Vision. Click here to contact Doug.

Reggie Trefethen, Field Site Director
Reggie moved here from Clearwater, FL and was previously in the secular world of Business at Senior Level Management Positions. He has been involved in many offices of the church body, such as Personnel Department, Deacon, Usher and Sunday School Teacher. Amy Reid, Training & Capacity Building Manager
Amy Reid hails from Texas where she was in Youth Ministry and (college) Campus ministry for the past twenty years, serving most recently as executive director of the Newman Center at West Texas A&M University. She now serves as the Training Manager for World Vision Appalachia, having moved to West Virginia in 2005. Her duties include providing training for World Vision staff, community partners and friends in ministry, and local families in north central West Virginia. Amy also oversees the KidREACH program, the YEP (Youth Empowerment Project) program, and the Family Initiative program. Julie Freeman, KidReach Program Manager
Julie is the KidREACH Program Manager/Education Specialist, responsible for directing the KidREACH afterschool program and for working with the mission team to help coordinate the Summer Adventure Program. KidREACH provides afterschool academic tutoring and faith based character building to children in grades K through 5 during the school year. Summer Adventure is a type of VBS in which visiting mission teams have the opportunity to minister to locally enrolled children during the summer. Julie loves spending time with her family, husband Willis, son/daughter-in-law Willis Ray and Lora, and daughter Dawn. She also enjoys active participation at the Evangelical Bible Church where she serves as the Intercessory Prayer Team leader and as the Young Adult Sunday School teacher. Bobby Benavides

Bobby Benavides (aka "Big Bobby B"), Domestic Program Associate
Bobby moved to Appalachia from Southern California in June 2003 to serve as an intern and in March 2004 was appointed as the Youth Outreach Worker for Peoples Chapel on Chestnut Ridge. In this role, he encourages, enriches and enhances the lives of the young people in the community. Bobby loves hot chocolate, movies, all kinds of food, good conversations and lots of laughter. Jennifer Morral, Domestic Program Associate
Jennifer works primarily with middle school students considered “at risk” and conducts after-school programs, tutoring and Bible studies. She is originally from Southern Virginia but moved to the Appalachian area in 2005 with her husband, Michael, a Barbour County native.
