 | | 30 Hour Famine is an international movement to fight hunger and enable long-term changes in impoverished communities around the world. World Vision's 30 Hour Famine engages junior high, high school, and college students in a nationwide experiential hunger event. Participants fast for 30 hours – going without food to get a "taste" of hunger — while they learn about the causes of poverty and participate in community service projects. Funds raised are used to assist children and families in need both domestically and internationally. Approximately 16.500 |
U.S. churches participate annually in the Famine. Visit www.30hourfamine.org to learn more.
One Life Revolution, a partnership between World Vision and Youth Specialties, mobilizes youth to make a difference in the lives of widows, orphans, and other suffering as a result of HIV/AIDS. Youth are encouraged to engage in this difficult issue through advocacy, education, and fund-raising. By raising money, youth can purchase life-sustaining items — such as a well or children's health care provisions — from the One Life Revolution catalog.
