New York Programs

New York is our home
World Vision opened its office in New York to work alongside our donors, partner churches and faith-based organizations to serve at-risk children and families in the tri-state area.

New York is our community, and these children and families in need are our neighbors.

Join us in transforming lives and offering hope to these children and families in the name of Christ, by getting involved in our local programs.

You can make a contribution or share your talent, skills and time as a World Vision – New York volunteer.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Vision Youth
Vision Youth addresses the academic, social and spiritual needs of at-risk youth to help them survive and thrive in difficult circumstances. At the center of the Vision Youth program are Youth Outreach Workers (YOWs), hired by local churches with the support of World Vision – New York.

Storehouse
The storehouse, which houses our gifts-in-kind program and The Teachers Resource Center, will distribute necessary items such as clothing, school supplies, toiletries and other necessities to children and families in need in the greater New York area, through partner churches and faith-based organizations.

Global Communities
World Vision- New York wants to link the various ethnic communities in the greater New York area to World Vision’s area development projects in the native countries through child sponsorship and fundraising. World Vision – New York’s “Bridge to the Future” Initiative in the Dominican community is the first such program in the New York area.
