A Note From Tony Frank
My Purpose for Writing
As a valued supporter of World Vision’s work, I wanted to write and thank you for your partnership with us on behalf of the poor. Because of you, we are able to impact the lives of children, families and communities in some of the most desperate places on earth. I also wish to introduce myself as your local representative. Should you have any questions about the impact your support is having, or how you can become more involved, I’m glad to be of service.
Updates from the Field
In August I will be traveling with a group of supporters to Zambia to visit World Vision’s work there. The trip will focus on the impact that water can have on a community. We’ll also see firsthand how children and families are responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis. If you would ever like to join me on a trip like this, let me know and I’ll keep you informed of the details.
It’s been over 6 months since the Tsunami, and World Vision is hard at work rebuilding homes and infrastructure. The outpouring of support has been wonderful to see, with many people, churches and companies from Chicago responding. We have a DVD update from the field that I’d love to share with you. Let me know and I can make sure you get one.
Local Opportunities for Involvement
Were you aware that World Vision is impacting the lives of the poor here in Chicago? We’ve been working here for over ten years now, and I want to invite you to stop by and allow me to show you the difference we are making.
We also have created an advisory board that gives people like yourself a place to connect and a forum for sharing their talents on behalf of the poor here and around the world. Our next meeting is September 14th, from 11:45am until 1:30pm. Why not join us?
Let's Connect
For the past 4 years I’ve been building relationships in the Chicagoland area on behalf of World Vision with individuals and groups who are supporting our work both here and around the world. In my role, I can provide you with updates on our work in the field and can be a resource regarding what you support and how you support it. I would love to visit with you sometime at your convenience. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
You can call me at 773.921.3900 ext 311 or email me at tfrank@worldvision.org.
