  • Over 12 million children in Africa have lost one or both parents to AIDS. Nearly 7,000 children are orphaned each day.

  • By 2010, experts predict that 25 million of the world's children will be orphaned because of AIDS.

  • The vast majority of these orphaned and vulnerable children do not have AIDS.
