30 Hour Famine '05 Highlights

In 2005, more than 750 plus groups made up of thousands of youth in the Greater New York area, raised over $650,000 on behalf of children who suffer from hunger or hunger-related diseases! We hope these highlights will encourage and inspire your group as you gear up for Famine 2006!!
- Jeremy Montgomery, Youth Pastor from the First Baptist Church of Westfield joined the 30 Hour Famine Team on the Study Tour to Kenya this past summer. Check out his story at www.30hourfamine.org
- The 2006 30 Hour Famine DVD is filmed here in New York with Famine participants from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut – that’s Central Park in the background!
- Grace Chinese Lutheran Church hosted a Hunger Advocacy Benefit Concert following their Famine to raise awareness about this very issue. Neah Lee, a Christian independent artist, was invited as their guest performer and amazed everyone with her powerful music and words as she challenged the youth to live out their faith!
- The First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen partnered with Star 99.1’s, Johnny Stone, to sponsor 30 children on their morning show!
