Los Angeles has one of the highest percentages of high-income households in the nation. At the same time, the city has a higher percentage of poor families than any other U.S. metropolitan area. Nearly 29 percent of children living in Los Angeles county are living in poverty.
Neighbors helping neighborsIn this city of stark contrasts, World Vision has worked against poverty’s destructive forces for more than 20 years. We partner with more than 1,100 local churches and faith-based organizations to support and unite local leaders, offer essential family supplies and job assistance, and walk alongside at-risk children and youth.
