[vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_single_image image=”13176″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]SEATTLE (November 2, 2016) —<\/strong> This Giving Tuesday<\/a> (November 29), Thirty-One Gifts<\/a> will match any donation made to World Vision<\/a> with a donation of their own product, up to $2 million in value, to families and communities in need around the world.<\/p>\n

The products include sturdy utility tote bags and warm clothes that can provide much needed help in the winter months to vulnerable families in Africa, eastern Europe and Central America who might otherwise be ignored. This is the third year World Vision and Thirty-One Gifts, which sells purses, totes, and home décor, have partnered for Giving Tuesday. In 2015, volunteer health workers in Burundi received utility tote bags, which helped them carry their equipment and keep medical supplies clean and safe as they visited remote, low-income houses for checkups.<\/p>\n

“World Vision was awestruck when Thirty-One Gifts decided to double their donation this year offering to match another $2 million worth of products,” says Jennifer Hawley, senior director of corporate engagement with World Vision. “Our hope is that donors are inspired by this generosity, giving World Vision the potential to make a profound impact on poverty this Giving Tuesday.”<\/p>\n

“It’s magical when you can put two organizations together to double their reach,” said Wendy Bradshaw, executive director of community affairs and philanthropy with Thirty-One Gifts. “It’s as if we have a sister in our goals to help others. We’re proud to be partnered with World Vision again, and we’re looking forward to another big year.”<\/p>\n

Giving Tuesday<\/a>, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a day devoted to charitable giving, volunteering and advocacy, in response to the consumer focus of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.<\/p>\n
