World Vision Haiti has been in the frontlines, responding to emergencies like droughts, floods, earthquakes, storms and the cholera epidemic. We were one of the first organizations that responded to the disastrous 2010 earthquake that took the life of more than 200,000 people. Most recently, we responded to Hurricane Matthew. The poorest nation in the western hemisphere is located in an area already prone to hurricanes and tropical storms. Recovery, and building long-term resiliency has been difficult because so much government infrastructure was damaged in the earthquake, so many families were displaced. But we are not deterred. Together, we can help build a better, stronger future for the children of Haiti.<\/span><\/p>\n

World Vision has been serving the children, families, and communities in Haiti since 1978. We’re in it for the long-term, helping for as long as we’re needed. We work with the most vulnerable communities in Haiti to improve children’s health through a number of programs that prioritize health, nutrition, and access to water and sanitation.<\/span><\/p>\n
