Through this partnership, Amy Owens \u2014 the Tucker County Community Services Assistant \u2014 can provide products to the families like Betty and Steve\u2019s. She\u2019s been able to help them with items such as new pots and pans, Lysol wipes, and cleaning supplies On a foggy, November 2024 day, Amy shows up at the family\u2019s trailer bearing gifts. She has a brand-new Go-Kart for Damon and some slime. The Go-Kart requires some assembly so it\u2019s the bottles of slime that enthrall 5-year-old Damon. She says of the gift of toys is so important because: \u201cI can\u2019t buy them half the time. They\u2019re getting too expensive.\u201d She then adds: \u201cYou either pay your bills or do without.\u201d But she doesn\u2019t want Damon to have to do without like she often did, especially at Christmastime.
