World Vision believes all children should have the opportunity to lead the full lives God intends for them. Here are ways to do as Jesus did and pray the promises of God’s Word on children growing up in difficult circumstances around the world.<\/p>\n

And he (Jesus) took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.—Mark 10:16<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n

Pray for children not to be hungry<\/h2>\n
\n

Lord Jesus, I ask You to bless the children with abundant, nourishing food<\/a> so they will grow strong in mind and body.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.” —Psalm 145:15<\/p>\n

Ask God to bless His children<\/h2>\n
\n

Father in heaven, let the children be blessed to see Your glorious handiwork and know it comes from You.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.” —Psalm 90:16<\/p>\n

Ask God to keep His children safe<\/h2>\n
\n

Dear Jesus, I ask that all children enjoy the blessing of being kept safe from harm, danger, and oppression<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.” —Psalm 72:4<\/p>\n

Pray for children’s education<\/h2>\n
\n

Our Savior, let the children be blessed with a good education<\/a>, starting when they are young, so they can take advantage of every opportunity to live a full life.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” —Proverbs 22:6<\/p>\n

Pray for children to flourish<\/h2>\n

Heavenly Father, pour out Your blessings on the children so they will flourish in their family and be a blessing to their neighbors.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
