In a season that can range from harried to exhausting, there is incredible wisdom in taking time to be quiet, worship, and meditate.

Sometimes we are so thankful that Christ came from heaven to earth that we lose sight of why He came. In Matthew 20:28, He shared with His disciples: “…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Service and ransom — what a difference from the world’s concept of a successful life.

In these days leading up to the celebration of His birth, we will examine four roles of Christ: Wonderful Counselor, Redeemer, Messiah, and Emmanuel. The studies look at individuals from Scripture and from contemporary times who exemplify these roles in large and small ways, as well as offering thoughtful questions.
