Listen as World Vision's Senior Director for Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, Chris Palusky, testifies before Congress on December 3, 2013 about the humanitarian response to Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The super storm struck the Philippines on November 8, displacing nearly 4 million people and killing more than 5,500. As of December 3, World Vision had provided food, hygiene kits, emergency shelter, Child Friendly Spaces, and other relief supplies to more than 70,000 people in Leyte, Samar, Northern Cebu, and Panay.
