GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (December 27, 2015) — World Vision will deploy trucks loaded with relief supplies tomorrow morning from its disaster supply warehouse in Grand Prairie to churches and local partners in Garland, northern Mississippi, and southwestern Georgia following deadly tornadoes and severe weather throughout the South this week.

World Vision will provide hygiene kits, family food packs, blankets, and clothing to some 600 people in the affected areas.

“This year, for many families throughout the south and southeast, the holidays brought loss,” said Phyllis Freeman, World Vision’s director of domestic disaster response. “This is an opportunity for Americans — especially American Christians — to show love and service to those who have been affected by this weather.”

World Vision staff will pack and deploy supplies Monday morning and will be available for interviews between 9 and 11 a.m.
