Why World Vision?

Why World Vision?Corporations play a vital role in deepening the reach and impact of our work. When you partner with World Vision, you partner with communities to help them create and sustain a poverty-free future.

  • We have an established presence in nearly 100 countries and the support of millions of donors, partners, and volunteers across the globe.
  • We have more than 60 years of experience in long-term community development and emergency relief.
  • We deliver powerful results in the fight against poverty, an outcome of strategic interest to many corporations.

Customized Partnership Planning

  • World Vision develops committed partnerships that meet the needs of both our partners and the communities we serve.
  • We can tailor a partnership plan that reflects your corporate values, philanthropic commitment, and business strategy.
  • Corporations may support a specific development project, give to our humanitarian and emergency relief work, or co-create a targeted campaign.

Partnership Opportunities

There are several ways you can partner with us.

Community Development

Partnership OpportunitiesWorld Vision operates more than 1,400 active area development projects around the world.

Corporations can support our life-changing work in a number of ways through one of these areas of focus:

In all five areas, our staff especially focus on women and girls, as well as orphans and vulnerable children.

Disaster Response

Our extensive disaster response global infrastructure enables us to respond quickly almost anywhere in the world. Our reputation as a “first in, last out” agency means that we are both an early responder and an ongoing partner as communities recover and rebuild.

In 2012 alone, World Vision responded to 87 humanitarian emergencies, assisting 10 million disaster victims, refugees, and displaced persons.

We are signatories to the major codes of conduct for best practices in emergency situations, most notably those of the International Red Cross and the Sphere Project.

Public-Private Partnerships

World Vision delivers dynamic development interventions, working with the private and public sectors in joint equity partnerships.

As one of USAID’s top 10 nonprofit implementing partners, in 2012 we managed a U.S. grant portfolio valued at more than $750 million.

You can view some of our other public partners on the Meet Our Partners tab.
