World Vision is implementing the third phase of the Educating Children Together (ECT3) project, under the McGovern Dole lnternational Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program in the Muecate and Nacarôa districts of Nampula Province in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH), Ministry of Health (MISAU), Civil Society Capacity Building and Learning Centre (CESC) and lnternational Food Policy Research lnstitute (lFPRl) with funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The program’s third phase covers the period from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2024 with the goal of improving the literacy of school-aged children.

The objective of this research is to identify the key determinants of behavior change that lead to enhanced caregiver and community engagement in children’s learning regarding literacy, and to identify the determinants of sustained motivation by community members in supporting education at the household and community levels.
