On mission together.

Following Jesus Christ. Partnering with the local church. Serving the world’s most vulnerable.

Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness. Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.

‑World Vision’s vision statement

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. For nearly 70 years, we’ve ministered alongside the church to answer Jesus’ call in Matthew 25 — to care for “the least of these brothers and sisters.”

The church is the greatest God-ordained force for good, and through Jesus we can help heal broken relationships, bear the Good News, and make God’s kingdom a visible reality on earth.

And by God’s grace, World Vision and partners are building lasting change: we impacted the lives of more than 200 million vulnerable children.

About World Vision

WHO WE ARE?

Founded in 1950, World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, we serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.

REFLECTING CHRIST IN EACH COMMUNITY

Everywhere we work, World Vision witnesses to the love of Jesus Christ. In Christian communities, we equip churches with discipleship programs to nurture children’s spiritual growth. But we’re also privileged to work with millions of people of other faiths. Where there is no Christian church, we pray that our actions will reveal God’s love, grace, and transformational power — and that our lives will encourage people to respond to the gospel.

WHAT WE DO?

World Vision and the communities we serve are in a journey toward their self-reliance — and a better future for their kids. It’s our goal for every child to:

  • Enjoy good health
  • Be educated for life
  • Experience the love of God and their neighbors
  • Be cared for, protected, and participating in their community

Our holistic approach is fueled by the partnership of churches, child sponsors, major donors, grantors, and many others. Together, we address the need for clean water, health, economic empowerment, emergency relief, education, and child protection, while advocating for justice at local, national, and global levels. And this model works: Because of our community-focused solutions, for every child you help, four more children benefit, too.

WHO WE SERVE?

Through our faithful staff in nearly 100 countries, we reach children and families in the world’s most fragile places, where many organizations cannot or will not go. We serve all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
