Help mothers and babies stay healthy and flourish

Every day, 14,000 children under the age of 5 die from largely preventable causes — things like birth complications, pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. World Vision believes every mother and child has a right to health and an opportunity to flourish. With your support, we will focus on pregnant mothers and the first 1,000 days of children’s lives in three critical ways: prevention, treatment, and clinic upgrades.

  • $500 can help provide 750 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) to instantly diagnose if children have malaria and need treatment.
  • $750 can help provide a treated mosquito net (LLIN) and hygiene kit to 75 pregnant women.
  • $1,500 can equip one Community Health Worker with the training, mentoring, supervision, supplies, and medicines they need to treat children with pneumonia, malaria, and diarrhea.

Give now to help more mothers and babies

In January 2021, World Vision began working in the Dosso and Maradi regions of Niger. Watch this video taken by staff of a health clinic that serves nearly 34,000 people in 42 villages.

“Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days.”

— Isaiah 65:20 (NIV)
