As followers of Jesus, we have a choice: respond to unsettling realities in fear and withdraw, or follow Him in responding to the greatest needs of our day with love and hope. Reflecting on Matthew 25, pray with us for World Vision’s work around the world.
World Vision U.S. President Rich Stearns says children need someone to stand up for them so they can have a safe and happy childhood like our own children do. This isn’t the work of Superman or Wonder Woman. We’re the superheroes God wants to repurpose.
The National Center on Family Homelessness reports that in 2013 1 in 30 children in the U.S. — a historic high — were living on the street, in homeless shelters or motels, or doubling up with other families. The number of homeless children increased 64 percent between 2010 and 2013 (1.6 million to 2.5 million). This month, join us as we pray for U.S. children and families living in poverty.
Pray for West Africa: Pray for political and economic stability, maternal and child health, and sponsored children.
