Stories of girls who
dared to dream

Read inspiring short stories of real girls who faced adversity and dared to dream. Be careful … reading them might change you too!

They said yes, when others said no.

These are the stories of 10 girls who dreamed big, thought differently, never gave up, and did things that seemed impossible. They are change makers, writing their own stories, in small and big ways (and small ways that turn into big ways!). Together, these girls, and millions like them, are revolutionizing the world.

May the child holding this book, be inspired to also help shape the future, alongside other change makers of their generation!

Take a sneak peek.

Inspire young minds with stories like Rifa, Nahomy, and Addyson’s.

Rifa didn’t feel safe walking home in her community, so she learned karate and encouraged other girls and boys in her community to do the same.

Nahomy saw a need for someone to advocate for kids in her community, so she spoke up when she noticed her peers were missing from school. Then, she ran for youth mayor and won!

Addyson learned that there are kids in the world without access to clean water, so she made it her personal mission to raise money for clean water with Team World Vision. Now she’ has completed four half marathons and raised $200,000 for clean water.

Inspire and empower the next generation to make a world of change.

Hi, we’re World Vision.

We’re a Christian humanitarian organization helping children, families, and their communities overcome poverty and injustice.

High impact

We keep costs down. In 2023, 89% of World Vision's total operating expenses were used for programs that benefit children, families, and communities in need.

Child focused and community based

We tackle poverty at its roots. Our integrated approach includes water, healthcare, education, child protection, and income generation, so every child can grow into who God created them to be.

Loving

We serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. World Vision serves every child we can, of any faith or none.

Courageous

World Vision has over 70 years of experience working with communities, donors, partners, and governments to create opportunities for better futures for vulnerable children … even in the toughest places.
