Your Voice Matters
You’re never too young—or too old—to speak up, to act, to confront injustice. Each of us has been chosen by God—chosen for such a time as this. This truth can inspire us to stand up for ourselves, and for generations to come.
Waiting for graduation?
Don’t. The time is now. The world is our classroom. We can choose to combat injustices and put an end to generational poverty. Now is the time to go all-in, and to live out the gospel.

Global Poverty
Let’s face it: Life hasn’t been easy for any of us since COVID-19 began. In the past year alone, poverty became a new reality for many more individuals and families here in the U.S. and around the world.
Even more heartbreaking, the COVID-19 pandemic threatens to reverse years of progress in the fight against global poverty. Since 1990, more than 1.2 billion people have risen out of extreme poverty. Yet now, the World Bank estimates that, in 2020, the pandemic pushed an additional 97 million people into extreme poverty.
Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth is from Uganda. She almost dropped out of school due to her family’s poverty. Yet thanks to the gift of a cow, her education was paid.
“I was dreaming of going to university, but this was to remain a pipe dream had World Vision not come in to support me,” she says.
Now 24, Elizabeth is a teacher near her home in Uganda, inspiring other kids. World Vision also built a new secondary school in her community. Her message to young people? “Focus on making the most of where you are … keep learning. Get skills. Be helpful. Be the first to jump up and do something if something needs doing.”
We have things to do, Lee University!

About World Vision
We are a Christian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. For real. For good.
Going to the ends. Where no one else goes.
Because Jesus is alive in the hardest places it is to be a child.
Dangerously soft-hearted.
We partner with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
Empowering people out of poverty.
For real. For good. Since 1950.
Jesus’ love at the center. Always.
We’re Christian – as in we follow Jesus’ example to show unconditional love to the poor and oppressed. Serving every child we can – of any faith or none.
