Celebrate World Vision’s 5,000th international container
You are making a difference in the lives of children through your support. Many of our partners contribute through product donations, known as Gifts-In-Kind. These generous donations are shipped in containers to help children in communities around the world.
On July 18, 2019, a special container left our distribution center in Pittsburgh—filled with donations from A.C. Moore, Abercrombie & Fitch Co., QVC, Essendant, and Thirty-One Gifts—on its way to Zambia. What’s special about this shipment is that it is the 5,000th international container from World Vision, bringing critical aid to children and families who need it the most.
Since 1983, partners like you have helped ship nearly $4 billion in product both internationally and domestically to children and families in need! We’re grateful for your partnership and support to make this possible.
Each of the product donations provided by our corporate partners fills a programmatic need in the communities where we work. For corporations, these donations provide a responsible business solution for excess inventory by freeing up valuable warehouse space and are a tangible way for them to demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility.
