World Vision Trademark License Agreement

  1. Use of the World Vision trademark is contingent upon your agreement to the following terms:World Vision International (“World Vision”) is the sole owner of the World Vision brand, which has been trademark registered in the United States and throughout the world. Your use of the trademarks acknowledges World Vision’s ownership of the trademarks. World Vision reserves the right to act against any use of the trademarks that does not conform to any of the conditions herein, or that infringes any intellectual property or other rights of World Vision or violates applicable law. All use of or goodwill associated with the trademarks will convey to the benefit of World Vision.
  2. Use of the trademarks does not indicate or create any endorsement, approval, sponsorship or affiliation of your product by World Vision. It is agreed that World Vision will have no obligation to advertise or promote your product in any of its communications or materials.
  3. Use of the trademarks is solely at your own risk. World Vision hereby grants you a non-exclusive, limited sub-license to use the trademarks for one year provided that you agree:
  • The trademarks will not be altered in any manner including its size, proportions, font, design, arrangement, colors or elements or animated, morphed or otherwise distorted in perspective or appearance;
  • The trademarks will not appear more prominently than your company, organization, product or service name;
  • The trademarks will be displayed in a positive manner and will not be used in any way that adversely affects World Vision;
  • That this license is not an assignment of the trademarks and that you will not transfer, assign, sell, reproduce, distribute or otherwise exploit your use of our trademarks; and
  • The trademarks will appear as provided by World Vision.
  1. The license further depends on your agreement to these terms:
  • The trademarks will not appear on any products that include or advertising for alcoholic beverages, tobacco, religious or political material or firearms; and
  • The trademarks will not appear on products which World Vision finds in its sole discretion to be objectionable or which includes obscene, pornographic, violent, intolerant, tasteless, denigrating or sexually oriented content or materials.
  1. The license further depends on your agreement that the trademarks will not be used or displayed in any way that disparages World Vision or our products, services or programs, infringes any intellectual property or other rights of World Vision, violates any state, federal or international law, or diminishes or otherwise damages World Vision’s goodwill in the trademarks.
  2. World Vision reserves the right to make any changes to the information and/or license provided herein at any time, for any reason. You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible to comply with any changes.
  3. World Vision reserves the right to revoke the trademark license for any reason. Upon notice of revocation of the license you agree to stop use of the trademarks immediately.  In such case, you will be prohibited from using the trademarks without further written permission from World Vision.  All appropriate laws shall govern this agreement.
  4. World Vision is also committed to protecting the security, privacy, and dignity of our sponsored children and other beneficiaries. You agree to comply with the World Vision Child Protection Policy, which prohibits the display of sponsored children’s photos, and other information related to specific sponsored children on the Internet without our express written consent.

These terms of use are effective as of July 15, 2013.
