Change starts today

Join us for a very special CBU Chapel on February 7, 2023.
Get ready for an event that’s bound to touch your heart.

The world needs you

Each of us has been chosen by God and is deeply loved. That’s a lot to wrap our minds around. But it’s the truth — the real, absolute truth. This truth can inspire us to love others the way we’ve been loved. It can lead us to share God’s love with others, not just in our own communities, but around the world.

The time is now

You’re never too young to speak up, to act, to make a difference. So why wait? Together we can choose to help end generational poverty. At Chapel on February 7, come hear about Chosen — a new approach to child sponsorship that puts the power to choose in a child’s hands. Then raise your hand, take that step, and experience the kind of joy of that comes from living out your faith.

We can make a difference

“Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God.”

All around the world, poverty is stealing choices from kids. It’s time to give them back.

Introducing Chosen, World Vision’s new invitation to sponsorship. For the first time, kids have the power to choose their own sponsors. Now the choice is theirs … the choice to take hold of their future … to become change-makers in their communities … and even the choice to step into a life-changing relationship with you.

Child sponsorship has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to fight poverty. As a sponsor, you’ll help empower a child and their entire community to stand confidently on their own, free from poverty, thanks to essentials like clean water, nutrition, basic healthcare, education, and more. Your $39 monthly gift will combine with other sponsors’ gifts, showing God’s love to an entire community–and giving kids the opportunity to experience the fullness of life. A child is waiting … to choose you!

Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth is from Uganda. When she was young she almost dropped out of school due to her family’s poverty. Yet thanks to the gift of a cow from a World Vision donor, her education was paid.

“I was dreaming of going to university, but this was to remain a pipe dream had World Vision not come in to support me,” she says.

Now 24, Elizabeth is a teacher near her home in Uganda, inspiring other kids. World Vision also built a new secondary school in her community. Her message to young people? “Focus on making the most of where you are … keep learning. Get skills. Be helpful. Be the first to jump up and do something if something needs doing.”

Through child sponsorship, you can help empower someone like Elizabeth to pursue an education and give back to their community like she has.

About World Vision

We are a Christian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. For real. For good.

Going to the ends. Where no one else goes.

Because Jesus is alive in the hardest places  it is to be a child.

Dangerously soft-hearted.

We partner with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Empowering people out of poverty.

For real. For good. Since 1950.

Jesus’ love at the center. Always.

We’re Christian – as in we follow Jesus’ example to show unconditional love to the poor and oppressed. Serving every child we can – of any faith or none.
