Hurricane Melissa: Facts, FAQs, and how to help
Hurricane Melissa carved a path of destruction across the Caribbean, causing fatalities, widespread flooding, and significant damage. The Category 5 storm made landfall in Jamaica on October 28, 2025. Communities in the Bahamas, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Jamaica are now facing catastrophic flooding, landslides, and food insecurity. World Vision teams are on the ground in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, helping families recover.
